The family. Gotta pick the kids up; make dinner.
It’s hard to balance all of this, and if you had the time and the money, would you just go to the beach and leave all the mess behind?
What would you say if I told you there are a few things that bring the ease of the beach right into your experience at almost any moment?
I bet you wouldn’t believe me. You’d say it’s impossible.
Well, I’m not promising a rose garden, but sometimes a few simple techniques help us become present, at ease, in this very moment.
But I don’t want you to take my word for it. I want you to doubt me; question me, and be willing to experiment to see for yourself. Just try a few things and see what happens. Try these 3 Simple steps.
3 Steps, A, B, C
Step 1. Awareness
A=Awareness. Whatever you’re aware of, notice it. Don’t change it. Just notice it. Thought, thinking; feel the energy of it without trying to change it. Headache; tension; worry; no problem. Just noticing what’s happening. Noticing and letting be.
B=Breathe. Bring your awareness to your breathing. Breathing is the gift of life. Feel it in your body. Feel the breath in the belly; the belly rising and falling. Feel the beneath your nose; cool in, warm out. Feel the breath in your chest; rising and falling. Feel the flow of breath; stay with it for a minute, 2 minutes if you have the time.
C=Center. Center and be present in your body. Feel your belly relax and fill with presence. Don’t worry. Relax. Sensing your whole body and being. Noticing things changing. Present moment, centered moment.
